From Trinidad to Suriname
I left the islands, taking a flight to Trinidad . Stopping just for one night to catch another flight to Paramaribo in Surinam , it was my heart's desire to hear some steel pan band playing. Lo & behold: The kind owner Anthony of Tony's Guesthouse where I stayed overnight took me on a night tour through the old city of Port of Spain, where we heard 5 different bands practicing publicly in their so called " panyards ". What a sound! What rhythm !I loved it!
Following night I arrived in Suriname ! I am impressed by the old colonial houses made of wood, the grandeur of the river Suriname, the tropical air! So much to see and to soak in!
